Japanese brand GOODSMILE COMPANY has announced a new product based on the popular anime "DARLING in the FRANXX" – the "02 (Zero Two)" 1/7 scale pre-painted figure, with a suggested retail price of 22,800 JPY, slated for release in April 2026!
First aired in 2018, the TV anime "DARLING in the FRANXX" was co-produced by TRIGGER and A-1 Pictures. The story is set in a distant future of overdevelopment, where humanity, in order to develop the new energy source Magma Fuel, must pilot humanoid combat mechs called "FranXX" to fight against the semi-mechanical lifeforms known as "Klaxosaurs" that are attracted during the extraction process. The male protagonist, Hiro, becomes unable to pilot a FranXX after a failure, but his fortunes change with the appearance of a girl named 02...
This 02 1/7 scale pre-painted figure stands approximately 25 cm tall, bringing to life the cover illustration drawn by character designer Masayoshi Tanaka for the June 2018 issue of "Newtype" magazine. It exquisitely showcases 02's slender and graceful body curves, with sculpting that faithfully recreates the intricate folds of her attire. Her coat and flowing pink hair add a strong sense of dynamism to the overall presentation. The paintwork meticulously reproduces the blush on her face and the visual effect of her black stockings, perfectly capturing the ultimate waifu appeal from the illustration!
