Bandai Spirits, a Japanese toy company, has announced a new product, "Black Daizyujin," from the 'First Squadron Goujūger' series, as part of its 'DXROBO UNIVERSE' transforming and combining robot toy series, based on Toei's tokusatsu series 'Super Sentai'. It is scheduled for release in November 2025.
Daizyujin originally is a guardian deity from 'Kyōryū Sentai Zyuranger', formed by the combination of five mecha: Tyrannosaurus, Mastodon, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Pterodactyl. It possesses its own consciousness, capable of fighting independently without the Zyurangers' control, and can manifest various miraculous phenomena. Its weapon is the "Dinosaur Sword God Horn" that descends from the heavens, capable of unleashing the powerful special move "Super Legendary Lightning Slash". The Daizyujin appearing in 'First Squadron Goujūger' this time, however, possesses a different jet-black color scheme compared to the original, and also secretly holds the ability to combine with the Tiger Sword.
"DXROBO UNIVERSE Black Daizyujin" is a modification of the previously released standard version. The molding color of the parts has been significantly changed to reproduce its black and gold body, and details such as the golden lines on various parts of the body are recreated with paint.
The overall specifications are the same as the standard version, designed with a unified "Core Frame System". This not only unifies the size of toys in the same series but also incorporates a transformation and combination mechanism that allows for part swapping. Through an original transformation and combination method, the five mecha—Tyrannosaurus, Mastodon, Triceratops, Sabertooth Tiger, and Pterodactyl—combine to form Daizyujin.
Black Daizyujin can also utilize the "Core Frame System" to form original combined forms with other Sentai robot products released in the DXROBO UNIVERSE series. Furthermore, it can even link with the "DX Tiger Sword", the transformation device and robot from 'First Squadron Goujūger', allowing its arm parts, along with the God Horn and Mastodon Shield, to be transplanted.
