Bandai Co., Ltd. of Japan has announced the second wave of its brand-new robot-themed model toy series, "BLOCKCROSS," featuring mobile suits from the "Mobile Suit Gundam" series, scheduled for release on August 30, 2025.
The "BLOCKCROSS" series is constructed from a common "BLOCK Frame" combined with "CROSS Parts" that recreate the appearance of each mobile suit. Assembly is as simple as a model kit, requiring no glue or other tools. Through the "CROSS BUILD" play style, where parts from different mobile suits can be freely combined, you can unleash your creativity to build your own original mobile suits. Furthermore, the "BLOCK Frame" offers versatility for customization and expansion, allowing multiple frames to be used to change forms, creating various configurations such as tall-proportioned frames, low-proportioned frames, quadrupedal frames, and more!
The second wave of the "Gundam" series will feature four mobile suits: "GQuuuuuuX," "Gundam Aerial," "Unicorn Gundam (Destroy Mode)," and "Knight Gundam." Each mobile suit comes with its characteristic exclusive weaponry, such as Gundam Aerial's shield which can separate into GUND-Bits, allowing for dynamic posing in conjunction with the frame's articulation. Currently, only CG images under development have been released for each mobile suit; more detailed product image information will be updated at a later date.
