TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., is releasing a new product under its S.H.Figuarts action figure brand, based on the popular anime "Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba"—the "Kocho Shinobu" action figure! It has a suggested retail price of 11,000 JPY and is slated for release in September 2025!
Kocho Shinobu, the "Insect Hashira" and one of the Nine Pillars, is the only member of the Demon Slayer Corps unable to decapitate demons with her own strength. However, she incorporates her mastery of pharmacology and toxicology into her fighting style. Her Nichirin Blade is slender with a barbed tip, allowing her to alter the proportion of poisons on the blade when she sheathes it, thereby poisoning her opponents to death.
This Kocho Shinobu figure stands approximately 13 cm tall and features her appearance in the series, wearing her Demon Slayer Corps uniform and haori. The articulation points of her loose uniform are cleverly segmented, with sculpted details faithfully reproducing the fabric's wrinkles, and delicate paintwork recreating the wing patterns on her haori, inherited from Kanao, as well as the design of her butterfly-shaped hair ornament! Accessories include three sets of interchangeable hands, three interchangeable face parts, and her signature barbed Nichirin Blade. These can be combined with the figure's flexible articulation to recreate various cool combat poses from the series!
