Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya announced the latest product from VANILLAWARE's fantasy strategy RPG "Unicorn Overlord": the "Eltrinde 1/7 Scale Figure", scheduled for release in November 2025.
"Unicorn Overlord" continues VANILLAWARE's exceptionally excellent 2D art design, building a fantasy world with stunning high-resolution illustrations and giving each character lively action performances. The story is set on the "Fevrith Continent," composed of five nations. Due to General Valmore of the Cornia Kingdom initiating a rebellion, the nations were swiftly invaded by the New Zenoiran Empire. The protagonist, Alain, also became a fallen prince of a ruined kingdom in his youth. He diligently studied swordsmanship and military tactics until, at the age of 17, he wielded the legendary "Ring of the Unicorn" and led the Liberation Army to save the world dominated by the Empire.
The second character released by Kotobukiya this time, Eltrinde, is the priestess who leads the elven nation of "Elheim." When invaded by the New Zenoiran Empire, she knew she had no means of resistance and surrendered directly. The Empire, to stabilize its rule, guaranteed her status as a priestess while holding her hostage. However, Eltrinde's consciousness was seized by the Imperial Army witch, Alcyna, and she only recovered after Alain led his forces to liberate Elheim. She harbors feelings for Alain but hesitates due to the lifespan difference between humans and elves.
The "Eltrinde 1/7 Scale Figure" faithfully recreates her character illustration from the game in three dimensions. Standing approximately 27.5 cm tall, it sculpts her holding a spear, with both her costume design and pose exuding a strong sense of dynamism. Her golden hair is made from clear material, showcasing the intricate details of her braids and a lustrous finish. Most notably, the figure thoroughly reproduces the translucent, ethereal quality of her sheer skirt, as depicted in her design, using clear parts.
Furthermore, Kotobukiya has also preemptively unveiled the painted prototype of Eltrinde's twin sister, the "Rosalinde 1/7 Scale Figure," with pre-order information expected to be announced soon.
