World-renowned Hong Kong toy brand Hot Toys has launched a new product based on "Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith" – the "Palpatine (Darth Sidious)" 1/6th scale collectible figure. The suggested retail price is HKD 1,790, with the release date to be announced. Pre-orders are expected to open on April 30, 2025!
In "Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith," after Palpatine revealed to Anakin that he was the Sith Lord – Darth Sidious, Anakin reported it to the Jedi Council. As Master Windu prepared to execute Palpatine, Anakin, desperate to save Padmé, was once again swayed by Palpatine, severing Windu's arm and falling to the dark side of the Force, becoming Darth Sidious's apprentice.
This Palpatine (Darth Sidious) 1/6th scale collectible figure features Palpatine's appearance during his duel with Windu in the film. The sculpt meticulously recreates Ian McDiarmid's refined facial features, and the Galactic Chancellor's red robes are faithfully reproduced with high-quality patterned fabric. It also includes an alternate head sculpt depicting his disfigured and twisted face after the duel with Windu, along with black Sith robes, allowing collectors to switch between his Galactic Chancellor and later Darth Sidious looks!
For weapons, it comes with a lightsaber featuring an LED light-up function, and dynamic lightsaber effect parts are included for replacement to recreate the action from the decisive battle with Windu! The interchangeable hand parts include two versions: one with a bloody appearance and another pale with dark fingernails, which can be used interchangeably depending on the desired look. Furthermore, it includes interchangeable hand parts that release dark side Force lightning effects from the fingertips, allowing for the recreation of his cunning appearance when defeating Windu!
