"Are you anxious because you cannot see me?"
Chinese figure manufacturer MAGI ARTS, which announced at the beginning of the year a 1/6 scale figure of "Duke of York: Pedagogue of Deep Wisdom Ver." (デューク・オブ・ヨーク 賢装のペダゴーグVer.) from the popular naval battle mobile game "Azur Lane," has recently unveiled its painted prototype! Commanders, let's learn together!
In "Azur Lane," Duke of York is an SSR-class battleship belonging to the Royal Navy faction. Her default in-game illustration depicts her as a beautiful girl with long pink hair, wearing a red military uniform paired with a black mini-skirt, exuding a noble aura and possessing a generous bust. Duke of York refers to herself as "I" (余) and addresses the Commander as "you" (汝). While her speech is gentle and refined, voice actress Rie Tanaka's calm voice, combined with Duke of York's captivating expression, makes her, in my personal opinion, an absolutely alluring and mature "onee-san"!
This time, MAGI ARTS has brought Duke of York to life in a stunning 1/6 scale figure, based on her "Pedagogue of Deep Wisdom" outfit, depicting her sitting on a computer chair in a super form-fitting teacher's uniform! Not only is her signature pink long hair sculpted with delicate strands, showcasing both a smooth texture and a dynamic, flowing feel, but the depiction of her eyes is also outstanding, further enhanced by the option of glasses for added versatility. However, the absolute highlight undoubtedly lies in the generously displayed large bust and long legs. Even the texture of her black silk lingerie is meticulously carved, complemented by the wrinkles in her clothing created by her pose – truly impressive! We eagerly await the full announcement.
