Following the first installment, "GQuuuuuuX," the robot-themed prize figure series "Limit Break", launched by BANPRESTO, a prize figure brand under Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company, has once again announced the second mobile suit from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX", the "Red Gundam", slated for release in June 2025.
The RX-78-02 White Gundam was originally the latest mobile suit developed by the Earth Federation Forces in Universal Century 0079. However, due to a successful snatching operation carried out by the Principality of Zeon's ace pilot Char Aznable, this unit, along with the Pegasus-class assault landing ship No. 1 "Pegasus", fell into the hands of the Principality of Zeon. After modifications, it became Char's personal mobile suit, the "Red Gundam". Yet, in an accident at the end of the One Year War, Char and the Red Gundam disappeared... In Universal Century 0085, a mysterious young pilot appeared with the Red Gundam in the illegal MS combat arena "Battle Group Showdown".
The "Limit Break" series consists of large-scale, robot-themed finished models. This time, the Red Gundam, designed by Ikuto Yamashita, is produced at an impressive height of approximately 28 cm. Although it does not feature articulated joints, it largely reproduces the intricate contours of various parts of the mobile suit, with particularly high-density detailed sculpting on the head, making it suitable as a magnificent display piece to be admired from a distance.
