American toy brand Sideshow Collectibles' 1/4 scale Premium Format statue series launched a new product on Star Wars Day, themed after "Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope"—the "Luke Skywalker: Red Five" 1/4 scale collectible statue. It has a suggested retail price of US$1,595 and is estimated to ship from November 2025 to February 2026!
At the end of the 1977 film "Star Wars," after escaping the Death Star, Luke and his companions headed to the Rebel base on Yavin 4 to prepare for a counterattack. Ultimately, they piloted X-wing fighters alongside the Rebel Alliance to combat the Imperial TIE fighters, successfully destroying the Death Star under the guidance of Obi-Wan's Jedi spirit.
This "Luke Skywalker: Red Five, Standing By" 1/4 scale collectible statue takes its name from Luke's callsign during the final mission. The statue itself stands approximately 76 cm tall, depicting Luke in a dynamic pose, holding his helmet and gloves, ready to board the X-wing cockpit for battle. The finely sculpted likeness accurately captures actor Mark Hamill's youthful and handsome face. His iconic orange flight suit is crafted from mixed media fabric materials, faithfully recreating the multiple storage pockets, flares, and control panel devices on the suit, perfectly showcasing its functionality!
The diorama section recreates the part of the T-65B X-wing fighter connected to the boarding ladder. In addition to the exquisitely weathered and battle-damaged exterior, it also displays the intricate internal armor structure of the fighter. The seat, targeting computer, and a portion of the flight control panel are all meticulously reproduced. The transparent cockpit canopy can be adjusted to a raised or closed position, offering different display options! The base recreates the shape and texture of a tarmac, featuring two light-up hangar boarding lights that realistically recreate the lighting from the film! A major highlight of this piece is that the X-wing section is supported by a metal structure hidden within black fuel lines, giving the overall composition an anti-gravity effect, recreating the classic scene while presenting a unique visual impact!
