LEGO 10360 Icons Series "Shuttle Carrier Aircraft" Recreates the Classic Scene of a Boeing 747 Carrying a Space Shuttle!

Yesterday (6th), Danish toy company LEGO announced the latest product in its "LEGO Icons" series, item number 10360, the "Shuttle Carrier Aircraft"! It is expected to be released on May 18, 2025, with a suggested retail price of US$229.99.

One is the NASA Space Shuttle Enterprise, built for space exploration; the other is a Boeing 747 transport aircraft, designed to carry the space shuttle home. Now you can build both of these aerospace historical milestones with LEGO bricks! As NASA's first space shuttle, the Enterprise did not actually operate in space. Instead, it conducted a series of glide and landing tests with a modified Boeing 747, known as the Shuttle Carrier Aircraft (SCA), simulating the space shuttle's return to Earth. This is why the classic image of a Boeing 747 carrying the Enterprise space shuttle exists.

This set contains a total of 2417 pieces. Once assembled and placed on the display stand, it stands approximately 27 cm tall, with an impressive total length of 63 cm. The massive Shuttle Carrier Aircraft faithfully recreates its distinctive nose, features special parts for mounting the space shuttle, and includes an 18-wheel landing gear at the bottom that can be manually operated. The Enterprise space shuttle includes a detachable tail cone (referring to the conical fairing covering the engines). Displaying these two classic vehicles together is truly magnificent, and the black base also comes with two information plaques – excellent!
