King Gnu's Satoru Iguchi Celebrates "Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Pentagram" Hitting ¥10 Billion Box Office with a Viral Handcuffed-in-a-Truck Shout-Out

The annual "Detective Conan" movie series has been a staple for fans, and this year's 28th installment, titled "Detective Conan: The Million-Dollar Pentagram," hit Japanese theaters on April 18. Following Golden Week, the film has already smashed past the 10 billion yen mark at the box office, racking up impressive numbers and critical acclaim.

Today (May 7), the official channels dropped a congratulatory video from the band "King Gnu," who performed the movie's theme song, "TWILIGHT!!!". But here's the kicker: the video features keyboardist and vocalist Satoru Iguchi with his hands cuffed behind him in the back of a truck, screaming at the top of his lungs. Fans were understandably baffled, wondering what kind of wild creative concept this was!

In the clip, Iguchi Satoru, sporting shorts and a white tank top, is seen bound in the back of a vehicle, loudly exclaiming, "Omedetou gozaimasu!" (Congratulations!). This bizarre and quirky presentation is truly a sight to behold.

Many immediately recalled a previous Instagram livestream where vocalist and guitarist Daiki Tsuneta mentioned Iguchi Satoru's idea for "Exodia Ran-neechan." It seems this outlandish celebration might just be a direct result of that brainstorm!

(We previously covered the "Exodia Ran-neechan" news here.)

And it doesn't stop there! Even Iguchi's own video, urging everyone to listen to "TWILIGHT!!!", features him in the same predicament. Clearly, Satoru Iguchi is always full of gags and mischief.

With such a knack for playful antics, it's no wonder King Gnu has exploded in popularity in recent years!
