The Gunpla "HG (High Grade)" series, launched by Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division, known for its comprehensive range of mobile suits and faithful recreation of anime designs, today unveiled prototypes of the latest products from the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX" at the "63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show": "HG 1/144 Char's Custom Zaku (GQ)" and "HG 1/144 Sayla's Custom Light Cannon (GQ)".
The "HG 1/144 Char's Custom Zaku (GQ)" is a modification based on previously released Zaku series mobile suits. Designed by Ikuto Yamashita, it features spherical thighs, power pipe configurations, and large thrusters on the back of the thighs, differing from the original "Mobile Suit Gundam" design. The characteristic red coloration of the "Red Comet" Char's custom machine is reproduced through the molded color of the parts. Currently, only a Heat Hawk has been revealed as its armament, with detailed product information expected to be released in June.
The "HG 1/144 Sayla's Custom Light Cannon (GQ)" is a modification based on the previously released standard Light Cannon. It features the same red, white, blue, and yellow color scheme as the RX-78-2 Gundam and is equipped with the same type of Gundam Hyper Hammer. Detailed product information is expected to be released at a later date.
