Japanese gashapon manufacturer Kitan Club (キタンクラブ) has released a highly interesting gashapon product – the "X-Ray Viewer Light," with a suggested retail price of 400 JPY per capsule, expected to launch in mid-May 2025!

On November 8, 1895, German physicist Wilhelm C. Röntgen accidentally discovered X-rays, which were immediately recognized by the medical community for their immense medical value. Just five years later, during the Boxer Rebellion, mobile X-ray machines were already in use, providing temporary injury assessments for wounded soldiers. Röntgen subsequently received the first-ever Nobel Prize in Physics in 1901, and to this day, X-ray imaging remains an indispensable technology in modern medicine!

This time, Kitan Club has miniaturized the X-ray viewer light used in hospitals and clinics into a mini model, measuring 3.9 cm tall, 4.9 cm wide, and 1.7 cm thick. A total of five styles, A to E, are available. Each style comes with two mini X-ray films, featuring images of human teeth, abdomen, arms, as well as rabbits, cats, and other subjects. The back of the viewer light has a magnet, allowing it to be attached to refrigerators or office desks. Simply turn on the light box and place the included mini X-ray film to instantly recreate a hospital scene!
