Global toy giant Mattel's building block brand, Mattel Brick Shop, recently unveiled an astonishing building block model car product, the "Mercedes-Benz 300 SL," which is seen as a challenge to the LEGO Group! It is expected to launch in Summer 2025 with a suggested retail price of US$120.
This elegant "Mercedes-Benz 300 SL," exuding classic beauty throughout, is designed at a 1/12 scale and comprises 1600 pieces. Once assembled, it measures approximately 36 cm in length. It not only faithfully recreates the car's lines and details but also includes multiple metal parts to adorn the body. Furthermore, it features openable gull-wing doors, front-wheel steering linked to the steering wheel, an opening hood, a rear trunk housing a spare tire, and an impressive interior and seating! This model also comes with several interchangeable parts, including wheel rims, allowing collectors to customize the look of their beloved car!
Beyond the 1/12 scale building block model car, this product leverages Mattel's own strengths by including a 1/64 scale Hot Wheels Premium die-cast Mercedes-Benz 300 SL miniature car model, complete with a transparent display case featuring the Hot Wheels logo!!
