Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Company's HOBBY Division today announced the latest model kit product, "Enjōmaru," from the new anime series "Mashin Creation Chronicle," scheduled for release on May 31, 2025.
"Mashin Creation Chronicle" is a completely new work that inherits the essence and some settings of "Mashin Hero Wataru," passing the series on to the next generation. The protagonist, Wataru Hoshibe, is a fourth-grade elementary school video creator who dreams of becoming a superstar. One day, he is summoned to the alternate world "Chūbu-kai" to become its savior. In this block-filled alternate world, reminiscent of a sandbox game, Wataru can use blocks to create various objects, including the Mashin "Ryūjinmaru," which houses a dragon's soul. They embark on a journey to defeat the final boss "Enjōtatsu," fighting alongside companions such as the master swordsman Mifurain and popular VTuber Maro.
The "Enjōmaru" released this time is the Mashin used by the in-game big boss "Enjōtatsu." The model kit utilizes various molded color parts, including red, indigo, and clear blue, to faithfully recreate its disaster- and evil-expressing body design and colors. The "Enjō Display Wings" that deploy from its back and its dedicated weapon, the "Enjō Dark Sword," even use gradient-colored PET sheets to achieve a polarizing effect reminiscent of insect wings.
Enjōmaru also adopts the common frame structure of the "Mashin Creation Chronicle" model series. In addition to achieving an excellent range of motion in its 3-4 head-tall proportion, allowing for the recreation of in-show battle scenes and special moves, it also allows for free interchangeability of parts such as the head, body, limbs, and armor using compatible pegs and joints, enabling the creation of unique Mashin by mixing and matching parts from the "Mashin Creation Chronicle" series.
