GOOD SMILE COMPANY's model kit series "MODEROID" from Japan has launched a new product based on the classic mecha anime "Panzer World Galient" – the "Galient Heavy Armored Custom" model kit. The suggested retail price is 8,700 JPY, with an anticipated release in December 2025!
"Panzer World Galient" is an SF robot TV anime produced by SUNRISE in 1984. The story recounts that on the night of Prince Jordy's birth in the Kingdom of Boa, the conqueror Marder attacked Boa Castle. The King was killed, the Queen captured, and the warrior Azbes fled with the newborn Prince Jordy. Twelve years later, Jordy, now an excellent swordsman, rescued a young girl named Chill during his journey with Azbes to find the legendary Iron Giant Galient. He discovered she was the daughter of Dartas, leader of the White Valley resistance against Marder's rule. Just as Marder was about to attack the White Valley, the Iron Giant Galient suddenly appeared, protecting everyone.
This MODEROID Galient Heavy Armored Custom stands approximately 18 cm tall when completed. Builders can choose to assemble it as either Galient or Galient Heavy Armored Custom, with meticulously sculpted details recreating the mecha. The Galient Sword weapon offers three forms: standard, whip-like, and a ready state drawn from the forearm. The whip-like blade extends to 37 cm and utilizes a special "insert molding" technique, integrating a flexible metal core with a plastic blade, achieving both flexibility and realism to faithfully reproduce its cool appearance from the show!
Furthermore, accessories include the Heavy Armored Cannon, Flying Cannon, and Shield. The Heavy Armored Cannon comes with a cable that can connect to the leg's energy tube and the shield. The shield, in addition to combining with the Heavy Armored Cannon, can also extend a pointed stake for fixed turret deployment. With its flexible articulation, it can freely transform between "Flying Form," the modified and enhanced "Flying Custom" form, and "Self-Propelled Custom" form!
