Japanese renowned toy manufacturer Kaiyodo's action figure series "Amazing Yamaguchi" (アメイジング・ヤマグチ) is scheduled to release an action figure of the popular female character, the kunoichi "Kasumi", from Koei Tecmo's game title "Ninja Gaiden"! Originally slated for October 2023, it is now scheduled for release in January 2026, priced at 11,000 JPY.
Fans of action and fighting games are undoubtedly familiar with "Ninja Gaiden" and "Dead or Alive." Popular characters such as Ryu Hayabusa, Kasumi (かすみ, KASUMI), Ayane, and others have a large following of players. They are not only handsome men and beautiful women with great physiques, but their movements are also incredibly agile. Their cameo appearances can be seen in many games under Koei Tecmo.
While many are more familiar with Kasumi's kunoichi appearance from "Dead or Alive," this Amazing Yamaguchi action figure of "Kasumi" by Kaiyodo adopts her all-black attire from "Ninja Gaiden." This outfit, named "Tokoyo Sakura," uses black as its base, featuring a subtle armored texture while maintaining the sleek, streamlined feel of a tight-fitting black suit, making it exceptionally beautiful.
The product content is quite rich. In addition to the excellent articulation provided by the full-body movable joints, the facial expressions specifically incorporate movable eyeballs. Accessories include Kasumi's main weapon, the "Misty Moon Blade" (霧月刀), which can be displayed both sheathed and unsheathed through interchangeable hilt parts. There are 6 interchangeable hand parts to recreate ninja hand signs and other actions, along with two types of kunai, a removable cape, and a display stand.
