Bandai's GASHAPON capsule toy division is launching a new product under its "Nemurase-tai" (Sleeping Squad) series, which features characters in resting poses. This new release is the "To LOVE-Ru Darkness Nemurase-tai" Gashapon, based on the anime "To LOVE-Ru Darkness." The suggested retail price is 500 JPY per capsule, with an expected release in late September 2025!
"To LOVE-Ru Darkness" is a sequel to "To LOVE-Ru," with Saki Hasemi again in charge of the script and Kentaro Yabuki handling the artwork. It was serialized in the monthly "Jump Square" from 2010 to 2017. In 2012, XEBEC adapted it into a TV anime. The story picks up two weeks after the final episode of the main series, when a girl calling herself "Mea Kurosaki" suddenly appears, attempting to execute the Darkness Project to turn Yami back into a cold-blooded assassin.
This "To LOVE-Ru Darkness Nemurase-tai" series features popular characters from the work rendered in an approximate two-head-tall proportion, depicting them in sleeping or resting poses. It includes four characters: Mikan Yuuki, Golden Darkness, Lala, and Momo. Each character has been given two variations, A and B: one with open eyes gazing and one with closed eyes resting, making a total of eight styles to collect. Despite their cute body proportions, the design details of the four characters from the series are faithfully reproduced. Their irresistible appearance, lined up in resting poses, is hard to resist!
