The story of "Inuyasha" follows the protagonist Kagome Higurashi as she travels 500 years into Japan's Sengoku period and encounters the half-demon "Inuyasha." Later, she befriends a group of companions including the monk Miroku, the demon slayer Sango, the two-tailed demon cat Kirara, and the young fox demon Shippo, embarking together on a journey to confront their archenemy Naraku and search for the Shikon Jewel shards.
