KOTOBUKIYA "Frame Arms Girl Izumo Destroyer Ver." Uses New Molding Colors and Partially New Body Parts to Recreate a Different Look!

KOTOBUKIYA, the popular Japanese model manufacturer, has announced the latest product in its 'Frame Arms Girl' mecha musume model kit series, the "Izumo Destroyer Ver.", scheduled for release in October 2025.

The prototype for Frame Arms Girl "Izumo" originates from the ship-type Frame Arms mecha of the same name, designed by mechanical designer Takayuki Yanase, and was transformed into a beautiful girl by illustrator Fumikane Shimada. Its exterior design continues the eye-covering short hair design of its sister unit "Kongo", with full body armor that integrates the cool armor silhouette of the original Frame Arms unit, and incorporates heavy weaponry and transformation mechanisms into the articulated body.

The "Izumo Destroyer Ver." is a modification based on the previously released standard version. In addition to using new molding colors for parts to express a different design, the body's waist and hips also utilize new parts to recreate an unarmored, high-cut leotard style. Furthermore, it includes a long ponytail hairstyle different from the standard version, and three new expression parts.

Other designs are essentially the same as the standard version. The articulated body stands approximately 17.5 cm tall when completed. By replacing the head and limbs and equipping various armaments, the "Armed Mode" can be recreated. In addition to the handheld rifle, the movable support arm connected to the backpack can mount a deck shield for unmanned combat aircraft, missile pods with hatch deployment mechanisms, and other armaments. Through various armor parts and articulation mechanisms, it can transform into "Cruising Mode", or freely change assembly methods to recreate various forms.
