Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, under its S.H.Figuarts "Shinkocchou Seihou" series, will not only release "Kamen Rider New 1 Glorious Showa Rider Edition" but also re-release another new "Kamen Rider" themed product in new colors – the "Kamen Rider New 2 Glorious Showa Rider Edition" action figure. The suggested retail price is 11,000 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in December 2025!
Hayato Ichimonji, after being abducted by the evil organization Shocker, underwent scientific modification and was about to be brainwashed when he was rescued by Takeshi Hongo. He gained the same abilities as Takeshi Hongo and could transform into "Kamen Rider 2," possessing the power of a locust! In fact, the appearance of Rider 2 was due to the actor for Kamen Rider 1 being injured and unable to perform after episode 13 of the TV series. From episodes 14 to 52, the storyline was redesigned for Rider 2 to take the lead role, while Hongo was set to have left Japan to defeat the evil forces of Shocker.
This "Kamen Rider New 2 Glorious Showa Rider Edition" stands approximately 14.5 cm tall. Based on the version released in 2018, it reinterprets the upgraded New 2's color scheme after his return from training in South America, now presented in more vibrant tones. The red scarf is also made of fabric material. New accessories include interchangeable hands for a hands-on-hips pose, a pointing gesture, and a black helmet replacement part for his guest appearances. Additionally, it will come with a special handshake replacement hand for "Kamen Rider New 1 Glorious Showa Rider Edition," allowing collectors to display both Riders recreating their handshake scene!
