Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya has announced the latest model kit product, "Mach Sperion & Weapon Set," from the Japanese "Brave Series" robot anime "Brave Saga," slated for release in October 2025.
Unlike previous "Brave Series" works such as "The King of Braves Gaogaigar" which received TV anime adaptations, "Brave Saga", despite being the ninth installment in the series, only appeared in the "BRAVE SAGA" video game series. The Brave robot in this work is "Holy Brave," a conscious life form that has fought against the evil "Nightmare" since the chaotic era before the birth of the universe. When the seal of evil is broken and it revives in the modern age, the Creator of the Universe dispatches "Baan," the leader of the Holy Braves, to Earth. With the help of Shunsuke Serizawa, a boy who possesses the "Source of Courage," Baan unleashes his true power to combat the evil enemies threatening to destroy the world.
The second model kit from "Brave Saga," "Mach Sperion," is the embodiment of hope born from the Phoenix Combination of Sperion and Mach Phoenix. This model kit foregoes the combination and transformation gimmick to thoroughly pursue the body proportions and various details from the design drafts. Utilizing multi-color molded parts and pre-painted face parts, it can largely reproduce the in-show colors without the need for painting.
The model also features a specialized frame mechanism for enhanced articulation, with pull-out joints extensively used throughout the body to provide a high degree of freedom in movement and joint stability. Furthermore, it includes interchangeable chest parts with a miniaturized Phoenix head, reducing interference with arm articulation and allowing for a wider range of poses. Accessories include the impressive weapon "Mach Twin Guns," enabling the recreation of dynamic shooting poses.
Additionally, accessories include exclusive weapons "Flame Bow" and "Phoenix Sword," along with interchangeable chest parts, which can be linked with the separately sold "Great Baan Gaan Model Kit" to recreate the incredibly powerful and substantial "Great Baan Gaan Full Armor Mode."
