Japan's BANDAI toy company's Gashapon brand, under its popular "Capsule Torso" series which brings anime character costumes to life in 3D, will once again release a Gashapon product themed after the classic anime "Cardcaptor Sakura" — the "Capsule Torso Cardcaptor Sakura Vol. 1" Gashapon. The suggested retail price is 500 JPY per capsule, with a planned re-release in September 2025!
This "Capsule Torso Cardcaptor Sakura Vol. 1" is a re-release of the product launched in June 2021. Over the past four years, the series has already released 5 generations, featuring over 10 sets and a total of 20 different battle costume hangers! This popular first wave returns, once again bringing Sakura's three classic battle costumes to life as approximately 12 cm tall jewelry display stands. These include the pink multi-layered puffy dress from the Clow Card Arc, the white puffy dress from the Sakura Card Arc, and the red puffy dress from the Clear Card Arc. While faithfully recreating the adorable battle costumes, they also offer practicality, usable for displaying rings, earrings, and other accessories!
The Clear Card Arc design also offers an additional rare version featuring a Kero-chan model on the shoulder, making for a total of four styles. Regarding the distribution rates, both the Clow Card Arc and Sakura Card Arc versions are 35%, the regular Clear Card Arc version is 20%, and the rare Kero-chan version has only a 10% chance of being obtained!
