Hong Kong toy manufacturer threezero's "FigZero S" series, which injects exquisite craftsmanship into 1/12 scale action figures, has officially announced the "Tiger Beetle Man - Mago" action figure, based on "Tiger Beetle Man" created by Hong Kong comic master "Kow Fuk-lung"! Pre-orders officially opened today (28th) on the threezero official website, with an estimated shipping date in Q4 2025, and a suggested retail price of HKD 498.
The story of "Tiger Beetle Man" begins in 1932 in the extremely cold lands of Siberia, where explorer "Rett Russell" and his team discovered a cocoon inside a mammoth preserved in ice. Inside the cocoon was an unknown humanoid creature with beetle characteristics. By touching the cocoon, a segment of this beetle-man's past appeared in Rett's mind, and he named it the "Tiger Beetle Man" from ancient times.
The year is 2013, and a young man named "Mago Neo" experiences the tragedy of his parents' murder and his sister's disappearance. Although the culprit, "Brutus," was sent to prison, Mago resolves to kill him with his own hands. He not only spent years diligently practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu but even entered the same prison as Brutus as an inmate. In 2023, Mago launched his attack, striking Brutus with a sharpened iron pipe. However, Brutus loudly called for his subordinates, interrupting Mago's attack, and the situation instantly reversed. Mago was surrounded, unable to move and severely wounded. At this moment, only the demonic genes buried within him could save Mago. The Tiger Beetle Man, finally awakened!
This "FigZero S Tiger Beetle Man," personally supervised by Master Kow Fuk-lung, stands approximately 17.5 cm tall and features a total of 43 points of articulation. Its appearance faithfully recreates the delicate and highly biological shell textures and robust muscle lines, while also meticulously crafting the belt and the red and blue potions for form transformation, based on the comic's settings. The internal frame is constructed with alloy parts, allowing for stable posing in highly dynamic combat stances! Accessories include a "Bone Sword" that can be attached to the left arm, interchangeable hands, and LED-illuminated eyes, fully conveying the Tiger Beetle Man's fierce presence!
