Following the "Time Bokan" release, Bandai's GASHAPON capsule toy brand, in collaboration with artists for its "Art in Gashapon" series, will release the GASHAPON ONLINE exclusive "Time Bokan White Version" (タイムボカン ホワイトver.)! Scheduled to ship in late September 2025, there will be three types to collect, with a suggested retail price of 1,800 Japanese Yen per capsule.
Produced by Tatsunoko Production and first aired in 1975, "Time Bokan" celebrates its grand 50th anniversary in 2025. The high-tech vehicles capable of traversing time, "Time Mechabuton" (藍鯨號) developed by Dr. Kieta, along with the later appearing "Time Dotabattan" (蚱蜢號) and "Time Kuwagattan" (大剪號), will reappear with a brand new look! This white version, a limited edition color scheme for the 50th anniversary, presents an aged appearance with mottled rust spots, as if these three time machines were left carelessly, allowing fifty years of time to leave their marks on them. Coupled with their inherently organic design, the overall aesthetic exudes a mysterious and elegant aura.
The sculpting is identical to the standard version, crafted by Japanese sculptor "Matsuoka Michihiro," known for his expertise in combining biological features with futuristic machinery. While retaining the iconic external elements, he has infused exquisite detail and new designs. With deployable wings and articulated legs, they offer rich playability, capable of displaying an intimidating, insect-like posture! Coupled with their substantial size (approximately 12 cm long), they are truly captivating!
