Last season, he pulled off an unprecedented "54 homers, 59 stolen bases" and snagged an MLB World Series title. Now, Los Angeles Dodgers' Japanese superstar Shohei Ohtani is practically a global media fixture. With a new baby in the house and a fresh season already packed with home runs, he's proving his limits are nonexistent.
Today (May 29), the Dodgers dropped a bombshell: they're teaming up with Eiichiro Oda's "ONE PIECE" for a special "ONE PIECE Night"! They've even unveiled the full collaboration artwork for the event, set to sail into Dodger Stadium on July 3, 2025 (US time).
The main visual for this epic crossover was personally drawn by Eiichiro Oda himself, featuring Luffy rocking a Dodgers uniform and unleashing his Gum-Gum pitching power! The official announcement also teases a treasure trove of "ONE PIECE"-themed interactive activities both inside and outside the stadium. And here's the kicker: the first 40,000 fans through the gates will score an exclusive collaboration Straw Hat (limited quantities, while supplies last)!
After the game, prepare for the ultimate grand finale: a special drone light show starring "ONE PIECE's" most beloved characters, guaranteed to send the crowd into a frenzy!
While details on merchandise, special events, or even a potential ceremonial first pitch guest are still under wraps, a collaboration with the legendary MLB Los Angeles Dodgers – especially with Japanese powerhouses Shohei Ohtani, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, and Roki Sasaki on the roster – is guaranteed to be a massive talking point. We'll just have to wait and see what surprises July 3 (US time) brings!
