Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, today (30th) not only revealed the "Jonathan Joestar" action figure from their S.H.Figuarts brand but also simultaneously unveiled another new JoJo-themed product: the "Joseph Joestar" action figure from "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 2: Battle Tendency." It has a suggested retail price of 11,000 JPY and is scheduled for release in December 2025!
The "Battle Tendency" story is set in New York, USA, in 1938, 50 years after "Phantom Blood." Jonathan Joestar's grandson, Joseph Joestar, inherits the power of Hamon and embarks on an adventure with allies Caesar Anthonio Zeppeli and Lisa Lisa to fight against the powerful ancient beings known as the "Pillar Men." Joseph's personality is completely unlike his grandfather Jonathan's gentlemanly demeanor; he is a laid-back, frivolous, and even somewhat cunning protagonist. However, he relies on these clever tricks to defeat the Pillar Men, who are stronger than him. His role even extends into Parts 3 and 4, making him Araki-sensei's personal third favorite JoJo!
This S.H.Figuarts Joseph Joestar action figure stands approximately 17.2 cm tall and features his classic in-series vest and scarf outfit. The sculpting faithfully recreates Joseph's lean physique and his stylish vest design. The face also utilizes Tamashii Digital Coloring Technology to reproduce his intense gaze. The scarf around his neck is made of fabric and has a wire embedded inside, allowing it to be freely bent and posed according to display needs! Accessories include five pairs of interchangeable hands, two interchangeable face parts, and two sets of steel balls used as weapons in combat. Coupled with its flexible articulation and a dedicated display stand, it can easily recreate cool battle poses against the Pillar Men, iconic JoJo poses, or even dynamic running-away scenes!
