Japanese model company Kaiyodo (KAIYODO)'s popular articulated figure brand "REVOLTECH"s "AMAZING YAMAGUCHI" series has officially unveiled a new product based on "Rebuild of Evangelion" – the "EVA Unit-01" articulated figure. It has a suggested retail price of 11,000 JPY and is scheduled for release in February 2026!
Although Unit-01 has previously appeared in various forms within the "REVOLTECH" articulated figure brand, known for its exquisite sculpting and ultra-high articulation, this marks its first entry into the AMAZING YAMAGUCHI series, which is overseen by renowned sculptor Katsuhisa Yamaguchi. The gray prototype unveiled at Wonder Festival 2024 Shanghai had already garnered significant amazement, and now the official sales information has finally been released!
This AMAZING YAMAGUCHI EVA Unit-01 stands approximately 17 cm tall. Sculpted by Shotaro Sakamoto, it features an entirely new sculpt developed under the supervision of master Katsuhisa Yamaguchi, building upon previous articulated models. It addresses the issue of overly close eye spacing on the front of previous REVOLTECH EVA series figures, meticulously recreating Unit-01's muscular body curves and design details. The iconic purple and green color scheme is faithfully reproduced, and the series' signature Revolver Joint technology is utilized to achieve a perfect balance of articulation and aesthetics!
Accessories include multiple sets of interchangeable hands, an electromagnetic rifle, a high-particle vibration short sword (Progressive Knife), a power cable, the Spear of Cassius, and AT Field effect parts. In addition to the standard head with an articulated jaw, pre-orders through direct channels will also include an exclusive damaged interchangeable head. This can be paired with the previously announced Fourth Angel Shamshel, which is slated for commercialization, to recreate classic scenes!
