Japan's Kaiyodo Co., Ltd. has officially unveiled a new product from its popular REVOLTECH articulated figure series, themed around the upcoming "Patlabor EZY" project set to launch next year. This new item is the "Ingram Plus (AV-98plus)" articulated figure, with a suggested retail price of 11,000 JPY, scheduled for release in April 2026!
"Patlabor" is a manga series by Masami Yuuki, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Sunday" from 1988 to 1994. In 1989, STUDIO DEEN and HEADGEAR Animation Studio adapted it into a theatrical film and a TV anime series, respectively. The theatrical film series, directed by Japanese animation master Mamoru Oshii, remains a highly discussed classic to this day! At the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France in 2017, it was officially announced that a new project, "Patlabor EZY," would be launched. After many years, the project was finally confirmed last year to officially commence in 2026, with JC.STAFF handling the animation production!
Now, all toy enthusiasts can get a sneak peek at the new mecha in its three-dimensional form before the series airs! This REVOLTECH Ingram Plus stands approximately 16 cm tall and is based on the official mecha design revealed in September last year. The sculpting showcases the latest version of the Ingram, which has undergone adjustments to its overall performance and control system. New details have been added based on the Ingram Unit 1, meticulously sculpting various mechanical structures of the mecha. The police lights on the shoulders are crafted from translucent colored material, and the "Metropolitan Police Department" lettering on the arms is exquisitely printed. Accessories include multiple sets of interchangeable hands, long and short riot sticks, and a right-hand replacement part for holding a gun, allowing for various cool poses with the Revoltech articulation technology! Judging by the release date, the new series should premiere around spring next year – it's incredibly exciting!
Pre-orders placed through Kaiyodo's direct channels will also include an exclusive bonus shield visor, allowing for a more complete display of the Ingram Plus's image!
