Japanese brand GOODSMILE COMPANY's "Nendoroid" series, which features over a thousand characters, is releasing a new product based on "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance" – the "Shinji Ikari Plugsuit Ver." articulated figure. It has a suggested retail price of 6,800 JPY and is scheduled for release in November 2025!
Pilots must wear a Plugsuit (プラグスーツ, also known as battle suit or combat suit) when piloting an EVA. Its functions include increasing synchronization rates, protecting pilots from drastic temperature changes, collecting physiological data, and providing cardiac massage if the pilot's heart stops.
This Nendoroid "Shinji Ikari Plugsuit Ver." adopts the design of Shinji wearing his Plugsuit during two operations in "Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance." The head sculpt appears to partially reuse the version from Q's Unit-13 design and has been recolored, faithfully recreating the Plugsuit's intricate details in the Nendoroid's adorable proportions! It includes three face plates: a smiling face, a serious face, and a gentle smile. It also comes with a bento box accessory, allowing for cute interactions with the previously released Rei Ayanami!
Pre-orders placed on the GOODSMILE official website will also include a special round base featuring an EVA Unit-01 concept design!
