T-ARTS, a toy brand under Japan's TAKARA TOMY Company, will release its latest product based on Disney's classic animated film "Beauty and the Beast": the "Beauty and the Beast Royal Character Collection" Gashapon. Each capsule is priced at 300 JPY (tax included), and is scheduled for release in late June 2025!
The 1991 Disney animated film "Beauty and the Beast," adapted from the French fairy tale of the same name, tells the story of the ill-tempered Prince Adam, who is cursed and transformed into a hideous beast. All the servants in the castle are also turned into talking magical furniture. There is only one way for them to return to their original forms: the Prince must learn to love and be loved in return before the last petal of a magical rose falls, or the spell will never be broken, and he will remain a beast forever. One day, Belle, a book-loving girl from a nearby town, stumbles into the Beast Prince's castle due to an accident... and thus, the story of Beauty and the Beast begins.
The T-ARTS "Beauty and the Beast Royal Character Collection" Gashapon transforms the popular magical furniture from the castle into Gashapon figures. The characters' designs are faithfully recreated in a compact size of approximately 10 cm, and they make a grand return with luxurious gold plating (the original version was released in February 2024). The collection includes: the candelabra Lumiere, the charming teapot mother Mrs. Potts, the teacup Chip, the footstool dog Sultan, the clock and majordomo Cogsworth, and one secret character (possibly a different expression of Chip). Their lively expressions and poses evoke the classic "Be Our Guest" scene from the film.
