The LEGO IDEAS platform, under the Danish LEGO toy company, which transforms amateur LEGO fan creations into official LEGO sets, announced exciting news yesterday (17th)! In this Third 2024 LEGO Ideas Review, MattE720's "LEGO Godzilla" stood out and will become an official product in the future! And tkel86's "Tintin - Space Rocket," which was previously under review, has also been confirmed for commercialization!

First up is the LEGO Godzilla created by New York LEGO fan Matthew Esposito (MattE720), which took him four to five months to complete! During the global pandemic in recent years, Matthew Esposito rekindled his passion for LEGO building and created this model based on Legendary Pictures' version of Godzilla. For Matthew Esposito, the biggest challenges in designing this Godzilla were the proportions of each body part, the surface details, the head sculpt, the number of bricks, and his university courses at the time (laughs).
In an interview, Matthew Esposito mentioned that he didn't estimate the exact number of parts used for this LEGO Godzilla but gave a range of 2500-3000. From my personal perspective as an editor, since LEGO is going to release one of the most iconic monsters in film history, the final product's specifications can only be grand, not small! We eagerly await the birth of the official LEGO Godzilla set.

Next is Portuguese LEGO fan Alexis Dos Santos (tkel86), who, inspired by the classic red and white space rocket from "The Adventures of Tintin: Destination Moon," created a beautifully curved spaceship and launch tower. The space rocket has 1022 parts, and the launch tower has 643 pieces. A major challenge during the design process was achieving the rocket's curved surfaces, and the rocket's landing gear is Alexis Dos Santos' favorite part.
It's worth mentioning that the reason for this model's design was that Alexis Dos Santos' colleague wanted a LEGO Tintin rocket instruction manual but couldn't find one she liked, so Alexis Dos Santos decided to build one himself – how impressive!
