Japanese high-end statue manufacturer Prime 1 Studio's "Life-Size Bust" (ライフサイズバスト) series, following the release of "Gipsy Danger" and "Gipsy Danger Battle Mode" from "Pacific Rim," has recently unveiled its latest masterpiece: the "Crimson Typhoon" (クリムゾン・タイフーン) non-scale bust! Both a Regular Version and a DX Version will be released simultaneously, with an estimated shipping period from September to December 2026. The suggested retail prices are 542,190 JPY and 802,890 JPY respectively (tax included).
In the "Pacific Rim" lore, "Crimson Typhoon," piloted by the Wei Tang brothers, is a fourth-generation Jaeger assembled in Changzhou, China. Among the surviving Jaegers in the film, it is known for its agile combat style. Each muscle frame is said to be powered by 50 diesel engines, making it a precise and deadly fighter. In addition to being piloted by three individuals, Crimson Typhoon also features three mechanical arms. Its signature move is the "Thundercloud Formation," and it successfully defended Hong Kong seven times. However, it ultimately fell in battle against the Kaiju Otachi.
This 73 cm tall statue of "Crimson Typhoon" faithfully recreates its striking red armor, compact head, dorsal stabilizers, thruster nozzles, and intricate mechanical structures throughout. The heavy metallic red armor features extensive realistic weathering, along with visible Crimson Typhoon markings and its family crest. Beyond its excellent detailed representation, this piece also includes a deployable head cockpit and LED light-up features.
If you feel something is amiss with this Crimson Typhoon, it's definitely the lack of arms! The simultaneously released DX Version adds two thinner right arms and a robust left arm, meticulously recreating their spinning blades and armor.
