The assembly model 'MODEROID' series, launched by Japan's MECHA SMILE brand, has announced its latest product from the classic robot anime "Grandzort", the "King's Style Windzart", scheduled for release in February 2026. This product will be simultaneously released in a "Standard Edition" using plastic molded colors and a "Royal Gold Edition" featuring paint and electroplating.
Windzart is one of the "Three Grandzorts of Light" that commands wind, summoned by the Grandzort Warrior Gus using the Grandzort Bow. Its magic harnesses the power of wind, allowing it to freely manipulate the atmosphere and fight with strong winds and lightning. Wielding the "Wind God's Hunting Bow and Arrow", the Storm Emperor Bow, it can unleash the powerful special move "One Shot, One Kill, Storm Emperor Bow".
The "MODEROID King's Style Windzart" continues the style of the previously released "King's Style Flamzart", with design and prototype production once again handled by Korea's GOD BRAVE STUDIO. It reinterprets the original design by incorporating numerous modern popular elements. Not only has the head-to-body ratio become taller and more stylish, but the previously flat armor design also gains more three-dimensional layers. The chest armor features a double-layer structure with internal embossed parts and a transparent outer cover, allowing a cool magic circle pattern to emerge.
The "Standard Edition" kit, once completed, stands at a height of 17.5 cm. It utilizes multi-color molded parts to reproduce the exterior composed of dark gray, spring green, gold, transparent red, and other colors, and features rich detailed lines and layers sculpted onto the armor surface. Many areas, such as the limbs, also include original turbine-engine-like blade internal structures. Furthermore, due to the improved head-to-body ratio, various joints incorporate pull-out articulation mechanisms, providing a flexible range of motion. This allows for dynamic battle poses with the "Storm Emperor Bow" and arrow effects, and it can also transform into "Face Mode" for display with a magic circle stand.
The more luxurious "Royal Gold Edition" features additional color painting and electroplating on certain parts. This includes the wing decorations on the "Storm Emperor Bow", and the gold armor on the chest, waist, thighs, and arms, all of which are electroplated. The turbine and fin internal parts throughout the body are also treated with black electroplating, giving it a more substantial and premium feel compared to the Standard Edition.
