Japanese toy brand MEDICOM TOY's popular action figure series "MAFEX" has released an improved Marvel Comics-themed product – the "No.268 Scarlet Spider (Scarlet Spider) Comic Ver.2.0" action figure. The suggested retail price is 14,080 JPY, and it is scheduled to be released as a commemorative item at the Medicom Toy Exhibition 2025 on July 26, 2025!
Scarlet Spider first appeared in issue #14 of "The Amazing Spider-Man," released in 1975. He was an unnamed clone created by Miles Warren using Peter's genes, initially appearing as a villain but later becoming an ally to Spider-Man. In the 1994-1996 Clone Saga storyline, Scarlet Spider returned as Ben Reilly, named after Peter's Uncle Ben and Aunt May's maiden name.
This "Scarlet Spider Comic Ver.2.0" action figure stands approximately 15.5 cm tall. It is an improved version based on the previously released version, sculpted to faithfully reproduce his lean musculature, and features a newly crafted head sculpt and belt, further enhancing its comic-accurate appearance! The hoodie addresses the issue of the previous version's small spider symbol on the chest and is now presented in a lighter blue-green color. The body's paint application uses partial airbrushing to deepen the tones, giving the overall look more depth and significantly upgrading the texture! Additionally, it includes multiple sets of interchangeable hands, web effects, and a dedicated stand, allowing for various dynamic poses!
