Max Factory, the Japanese model manufacturer, will release the latest product in their popular 'figma' action figure series from the popular horror work 'Higanjima': "figma Akira Miyamoto". The suggested retail price is 13,200 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in February 2026.
Koji Matsumoto's grotesque horror manga 'Higanjima' tells the story of protagonist Akira Miyamoto, who by chance encounters a mysterious girl from 'Higanjima'. This legendary isolated island, said to be inhabited by vampires, is a place from which no one who enters can leave alive... However, lured by the girl Rei Aoyama, Akira and his childhood friends travel to Higanjima to search for his brother Atsushi Miyamoto, who disappeared two years prior. Endless side quests to kill evil demons and a vampire struggle that has remained unresolved for over twenty years thus begin.
The "figma Akira Miyamoto" action figure, approximately 16.5 cm tall, faithfully recreates the knife scar on Akira's face and his battle-worn, haggard appearance, meticulously detailing his stubble and vacant eyes. It comes with a rich array of expression parts, including a "screaming face" for combat, a sweating "anxious face", a squinting "smiling face", a tear-streaked "crying face", and a "wounded face". Accessories include the inexplicably present "round log", a "sword", a "sheathed sword", "sword & shield", "gun & barrel", a "large axe", and a "frying pan", as well as the "prosthetic blade" from 'Higanjima 48 Days Later', and many other weapons that appeared in the series!
