Danish toy company LEGO yesterday (2nd) announced a new product, item number 40805, the "Arcade Machine"! The suggested retail price is US$39.99, and it is expected to be released on August 1, 2025.
This set contains a total of 468 pieces. Once assembled, you get a retro arcade machine, approximately 16 cm tall, primarily in red and black. It features joysticks and buttons for two players, a functional coin slot, and a screen and body adorned with a space shooter game theme. Apart from the top, most of the stud texture on the body has been smoothed out, making it look quite appealing when displayed.
The back can be opened to reveal a hidden, high-ceilinged game room, which is definitely a super exciting highlight! Upon closer inspection, you'll find that the minifigure is meant to go with this mini orange arcade machine. There are also various arcade cabinets on shelves, a retro TV, and what I personally guess is a two-piece Galaxy Explorer spaceship mini-model, along with stickers featuring rich elements. It's worth noting that "Junkbot" on the orange arcade machine refers to a video game launched on the LEGO official website in 2001 – super cool.
