Developed jointly by TAKARA TOMY's high-end toy brand "T-SPARK" and Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya, the new assembly model series 'METAMOR VERSE', which combines robot IPs such as "ZOIDS" and "Transformers" with bishoujo bodies, has officially announced its first product, "MV-01 Zansan Heki & Blade Liger", slated for release in January 2026.
The 'METAMOR VERSE' series is a project developed in collaboration between TAKARA TOMY and Japanese model manufacturer Kotobukiya. It combines Kotobukiya's highly experienced bishoujo plastic model kit technology with TAKARA TOMY's original IP multiverse worldview, redesigning characters from "ZOIDS" and "Transformers" into bishoujo mecha girls, released as 1/10 scale articulated assembly model products.
In the background story, Zansan Heki is a casual otaku who loves robot toys like 'ZOIDS', dreaming since childhood of creating "toys that people would be passionate about and enjoy". After transferring to a toy company, she didn't get into the planning and development department. In her dejection, she met her childhood friend, Takabe Mamon, who works in the general affairs department. Through him, she was introduced to the VR game 'METAMOR VERSE'. This game not only allows players' consciousness to immerse themselves but also collaborates with various anime and toy IPs to release costumes and items, allowing players to freely change their character's appearance in the game. Zansan Heki happened to catch the 'ZOIDS' collaboration event and dressed her character in the form of this product, 'Zansan Heki & Blade Liger'.
For the first product, 'Zansan Heki & Blade Liger', illustrator Nidy-2D- was invited to handle the character design. Multi-color molded parts are used to bring the articulated Zansan Heki body and the mini SD scale Blade Liger to life. For the Zansan Heki body, her highlighted twin-tail hair, voluptuous figure, and flexible articulation design are faithfully recreated, allowing for various adorable poses.
The Blade Liger is crafted in a charming SD scale, featuring not only intricate mechanical details but also numerous articulated parts for posing. By disassembling the Blade Liger's various parts, they can be combined with the Zansan Heki body to form "Armored Mode", equipping the head, various armor pieces, etc., onto her body, and wielding two "Heavy Blades". By swapping head parts, she can further transform into "Awakened Form".
