World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys is launching a new product based on the upcoming film "Superman" – the "Superman™ & Krypto™" 1/6th scale collectible action figure set! With a suggested retail price of HKD 1,780, pre-orders are open now, with an estimated release within 2025!
The new 2025 "Superman" film, written and directed by James Gunn, stars David Corenswet as the new Superman, set to reintroduce fans to the powerful allure of the DC universe! Since the announcement of a new Superman film, it has garnered immense attention, and the movie is finally set to premiere in Taiwan next week on July 9th – incredibly exciting!
This "Superman™ & Krypto™" collectible set simultaneously features the new Superman and "Super-Dog" Krypto, showcasing the deep emotional bond between the hero and his beloved canine companion! The Superman figure stands approximately 33 cm tall, meticulously sculpted by Hot Toys with exquisite realism to capture actor David Corenswet's facial features, complete with rolling eyeballs and intricate hair details. Paired with a newly developed muscular articulated body, the figure perfectly embodies Superman's upright and powerful presence!
The costume is tailored from composite materials such as fabric, faithfully recreating the highly saturated battle suit. The chest features a sculpted red and yellow "S" emblem with a subtle weathered effect, and the red cape is adorned with an embossed logo. Furthermore, a wire is embedded along the sides of the cape, allowing for dynamic wind-blown poses as desired!
Krypto stands approximately 7 cm tall, exquisitely capturing the Super-Dog's likeness, which was 3D scanned and modeled from the director's beloved dog, Ozuthe. The figure proportionally recreates realistic fur textures, and its red cape also contains a bendable wire, allowing it to be posed mid-flight with the included transparent stand! The base features a crystal-style design inspired by the Fortress of Solitude seen in the trailer. The entire base is crafted from translucent blue soft material and comes with a magnetic crystal pillar stand and a waist clip stand, enabling various dynamic poses for both Superman and Krypto!
