Following the release of "10302 Optimus Prime" and "10338 Bumblebee" under the Transformers theme, the LEGO Icons series from Danish toy company LEGO has officially unveiled its third new product! It's set number 10358, "Soundwave"! Scheduled for release on August 1, 2025, with a suggested retail price of US$179.99.
Information Update on July 11, 2025:
Soundwave is the Decepticons' master of communications and intelligence gathering, utilizing his cassette minions, typically stored in his chest, to scout the Autobots' movements. With a press of the switch on his left chest, the cassette Transformers eject, a truly cool and intriguing feature; Soundwave can transform into a cassette player, as well as a disguised streetlamp, which appeared in the animated series. He is fiercely loyal to Decepticon leader Megatron, who in turn places great trust in Soundwave, regarding him as a crucial right-hand warrior.
This LEGO version of Soundwave comprises 1505 pieces, standing approximately 33 cm tall in robot mode once assembled. Its appearance and color scheme are brimming with classic G1 elements, and he is accompanied by his cassette minions, Ravage and Laserbeak. Soundwave's transformed retro cassette player mode is absolutely fantastic, and Ravage and Laserbeak can also transform into cassette tapes, as per the animation, and be inserted into Soundwave's chest cassette slot – oh, it's truly awesome! Other accessories include mini cassette tapes, a rocket pod, a laser blaster, and information plate parts. We can't wait to get our hands on it!
Another super cool selling point of the LEGO Soundwave is the inclusion of a press-activated sound brick, allowing you to hear Soundwave's iconic voice and classic lines. Eager fans can even head to the official LEGO website to get a sneak peek and listen to the sounds recorded for Soundwave.
