World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys has launched a new product based on the classic Tokusatsu series 'Kamen Rider Black' – the 'Kamen Rider Black' 1/6th scale collectible figure. With a suggested retail price of HKD 1,680, 400 sets will be available for early sale at the Ani-Com & Games Hong Kong event, held from July 25 to 29, 2025, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Pre-orders are expected to ship in Q3 to Q4 2025!
'Kamen Rider Black' is a Tokusatsu series from the Kamen Rider franchise that began airing in 1987. Conceived with the idea of returning to its origins, it utilized the latest technology to refresh the worldview established since 'Kamen Rider Super 1'. The story follows young Kotaro Minami, who, on his 19th birthday, is abducted along with his step-brother Nobuhiko Akizuki by the evil organization Gorgom. They are designated as candidates for the 'Next Creation King' and undergo modification with the King Stone. Kotaro fortunately escapes amidst the chaos and subsequently transforms into Kamen Rider Black to fight against Gorgom.
This Kamen Rider Black 1/6th scale collectible figure stands approximately 31 cm tall. It is crafted from mixed media to faithfully recreate his iconic black battle suit, with the texture of the armor surface and the shape of the helmet meticulously reproduced! The red compound eyes feature an LED light-up function, and the belt can even rotate and light up, allowing for the recreation of his dramatic transformation scenes! Accessories include twelve interchangeable hands, Rider Punch and Rider Kick flame effects. With 30 points of articulation throughout the body, the figure can be posed alongside the simultaneously released Shadow Moon to recreate the brothers' battle scenes from the series!
