World-renowned Hong Kong toy brand Hot Toys has unveiled two new products based on the upcoming film "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" – the "Mister Fantastic" collectible figure and the "Mister Fantastic & H.E.R.B.I.E." (Mister Fantastic and H.E.R.B.I.E.) 1/6th scale collectible figure set. The standalone Mister Fantastic figure has a suggested retail price of HKD 1,780, while the set is HKD 1,980. The release date will be announced later!
"The Fantastic Four: First Steps" is set in a retro-futuristic parallel universe with a 1960s aesthetic. Marvel's First Family, finally returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, will face threats from Galactus and his herald, the Silver Surfer! The film is set to premiere in Taiwan on July 23, 2025, and anticipation is already incredibly high!
This Mister Fantastic figure features a meticulously sculpted headsculpt that faithfully recreates actor Pedro Pascal's refined facial features, capturing his subtly upturned smile. The movable eyeball mechanism allows for adjustable gaze direction, and intricate details such as facial lines, beard, and hair strands are all delicately reproduced!
The body section includes two distinct torso sculpts. The standard version stands at a height of 30 cm, faithfully recreating Mister Fantastic's everyday heroic appearance. His iconic blue suit is crafted from highly elastic fabric, allowing for a wide range of dynamic poses! The other torso sculpt depicts his elongated form after activating his superpowers, reaching approximately 40 cm to showcase his extreme stretching capabilities. The figure itself features an innovative split-body design, allowing for the free attachment and detachment of the lower body to switch between the two forms!
Accessories include five sets of interchangeable hands for use with the two different body types, as well as a hexagonal display base printed with the film's visual graphics. The figure set, priced at an additional HKD 200, will also include H.E.R.B.I.E. (Humanoid Experimental Robot B-Type Integrated Electronics), the robot created by Mister Fantastic, allowing for various fun interactive displays!
