The LEGO Group recently announced the upcoming release of a new LEGO® Ideas series set – 'Italian Riviera Architectural Set (21359)' – meticulously recreating the coastal town scenery along Italy's Ligurian coast with over 3,200 pieces. It is scheduled for global release starting August 10, 2025, priced at US$299.99 / €279.99 / £249.99.
This creation was designed by LEGO enthusiast Alex Sahli from Portland, Oregon, USA, and successfully selected for physical production through the LEGO Ideas platform. In his design, he referenced the architectural styles of Italy's Cinque Terre and Amalfi Coast regions, fully capturing the vibrant wall colors and irregular street angles.

The overall architecture consists of three main buildings, featuring multi-story designs and removable roofs for easy display and interior play, with rich interior details. Similar to the LEGO Modular Building series, each floor and roof can be easily detached, allowing for convenient viewing and arrangement of interior scenes, enhancing playability and display value. The scene includes a traditional Italian ice cream shop, a diving equipment store, and a fish market, along with glimpses into the shop owners' living spaces, creating a complete and vibrant town atmosphere.

LEGO has also included 10 minifigures with this set, featuring characters such as an ice cream shop owner, a fishmonger, tourists, and an Italian grandmother (nonna) teaching her grandchild how to make handmade pasta. This allows players to recreate daily Mediterranean life through character interactions, such as selling fish at a stall, making trofie pasta, or enjoying a leisurely meal by the street, capturing heartwarming moments.
