World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys, in addition to "Mr. Fantastic" and "Invisible Woman", has also simultaneously unveiled another new product based on the upcoming film "The Fantastic Four: First Steps" — the "The Thing" 1/6th scale collectible figure. With a suggested retail price of HKD 1,830, pre-orders will open soon, and the release date will be announced later!
"The Fantastic Four: First Steps" is set in a retro-futuristic parallel universe with a 1960s aesthetic. The Marvel First Family, finally returning to the Marvel Universe, will face threats from Galactus and his herald, the Silver Surfer! The film is scheduled to premiere in Taiwan on July 23, 2025, and anticipation is already incredibly high!
This 1/6th scale The Thing collectible figure stands approximately 31.5 cm tall, bringing to life the CG-animated The Thing, portrayed by actor Ebon Moss-Bachrach through motion capture. It meticulously recreates the rough, rocky texture of his body surface with exquisite sculpting and multi-layered paint applications. The light blue eyes, hidden among the rocks, are articulated, allowing for adjustable gaze. It also includes both a standard head sculpt and a bearded head sculpt seen in the trailer, allowing collectors to freely switch between displays!
The battle suit is specially designed to be removable, allowing the fabric-crafted upper body suit to be taken off to reveal the intricate rocky physique! The accessories include multiple sets of interchangeable hands, which can be posed with the specially designed base featuring movie visuals to recreate various dynamic scenes!
