World-renowned Hong Kong toy manufacturer Hot Toys has unveiled a new product from "The Dark Knight Trilogy" theme – the "The Joker (Bank Robber Version)" 1/6th scale collectible figure. It will be released in two versions: a regular edition and an Artisan Edition. This article focuses on the regular edition, with a suggested retail price of HKD 1,930, and pre-orders will open soon!
In the opening scene of the 2008 film "The Dark Knight," a gang of bank robbers wearing clown masks hijacks a bank operated by the mob. During the heist, each member is successively shot by their accomplices after completing their tasks. It is eventually revealed that this was all part of the Joker's scheme, who, having infiltrated the gang, drives away alone in a school bus full of cash. In just six and a half minutes, the scene perfectly showcases the Joker's meticulous planning and madness!
This "The Joker (Bank Robber Version)" 1/6th scale collectible figure is crafted based on his appearance in the opening scene. The figure comes with two head sculpts: one recreates the Joker wearing his mask during the robbery, while the other meticulously sculpts and restores the facial details of actor Heath Ledger after his special effects makeup. The delicate paintwork captures the cracked texture of the layered white foundation on his face, with wrinkles, makeup smudges, and the styling of his green hair faithfully reproduced! The eyeballs feature an articulation mechanism, allowing collectors to adjust his unsettling gaze!
The costume features fabric tailoring to recreate the striped shirt and gray suit worn in the opening scene. Accessories include a pistol, a shotgun, twelve grenades, a pull-string smoke bomb, four additional smoke bombs and a grenade rack, stacks of banknotes, a Joker card, as well as a school bus backdrop and a bank scene-themed diorama base. These can be combined with eight newly developed interchangeable hands to recreate classic moments from the opening scene!
