Produced by Japan's PLEX company and distributed by X-PLUS company, the monster figure series themed after Daiei Film's tokusatsu monsters, the "Daiei 30cm Series," has announced its latest product, the "FAVORITE SCULPTORS LINE Gyaos (1995)," from the film "Gamera: Guardian of the Universe," slated for release in October 2025.
Gyaos, who appeared in the Heisei "Gamera" trilogy, is set as a monster created by an ancient civilization using genetic engineering. As modern human development destroys the environment and depletes the Earth's Mana, durable Gyaos eggs slumbering across the globe begin to hatch. Within just a few weeks, they can grow from juveniles to adults reaching 85m in height. They can fly at Mach 4.2, hunt humans and other mammals for food, build nests, reproduce parthenogenetically, and emit powerful ultrasonic beams from their mouths as an attack.
The "Daiei 30cm Series FAVORITE SCULPTORS LINE Gyaos (1995)" is sculpted by Japanese sculptor Shunsuke Niwa (MONSTER MAKER 28), capturing the fierce design of the Heisei Gyaos at a height of 30 cm and a wingspan of 47 cm.
It meticulously captures the raptor-like sharp head sculpt, the vivid red, menacing eyes, muscle lines, skin folds, and the veins protruding from the skin across its entire body, faithfully recreating the extremely biological appearance of the adult Gyaos. This product can be displayed alongside the "Daiei 30cm Series Gamera (1995)," also sculpted by Shunsuke Niwa, to recreate the confrontation scene of the two colossal beasts' final battle.
