From Hideo Kojima, the highly anticipated sequel "Death Stranding 2: On the Beach" is set for a major release in 2025. Protagonist "Sam Porter Bridges" once again embarks on a solitary journey, this time across a post-apocalyptic Australian continent. Today (the 23rd), Hot Toys officially announced the 1/6 scale "Sam" collectible figure from this title, exquisitely recreating Norman Reedus's in-game appearance and all-new equipment. With the high level of accuracy we've come to expect, this release is sure to ignite another collecting frenzy! A total of three versions will be released: the Regular Version, the Deluxe Version, and the Artisan Edition Deluxe Version.
Real Hair Appears! "Artisan Grade Head Sculpt" with Wool Fiber Implantation Delivers Ultimate Realism
Compared to the sculpted hair on the head sculpts used for the standard and Deluxe Versions, this Artisan Edition Deluxe Version makes a breakthrough by utilizing "rooted hair technology." It uses wool fibers to recreate the natural, flowing look of Sam's medium-length hair, giving it a more lifelike visual appeal that highly aligns with Norman Reedus's portrayal of the character. This detail not only elevates the overall quality but is the very soul of the Artisan series!
The Name of Gold! Exclusive "Golden Mask" Accessory Symbolizes the Glory of Completing the Game
The "Golden Mask," obtainable only after completing the main story, makes its debut as an accessory, included exclusively with the Artisan Edition Deluxe Version! This mask, a symbol of a Porter's honor, adds a touch of mystery and overwhelming dramatic flair to any display. At the same time, this version is also equipped with the classic UV-reflective Drawbridge armor suit, a detachable Battle Skeleton, an Odradek scanner, transport boots, and other gear. The entire figure features heavy weathering paint application, perfectly recreating the weather-beaten Sam from the game.
An Expanded Lineup Far Surpassing the Deluxe Version, Including an LED Base and Exclusive Accessories
The Artisan Edition Deluxe Version fully retains all the upgraded content from the Deluxe Version, including:
‧ Blood Boomerang in its deployed state
‧ Two slices of Pizza-Do rubber pizza
‧ A damaged silver cargo case
‧ A light-up LED "APAS 4000" diorama display base (with red lighting for maximum atmosphere)
Combined with the new rooted hair head sculpt and the Golden Mask, the overall collectible value and display potential are elevated even further. This is undoubtedly the version with the most commanding presence of the three!
All Equipment Still Included, Down to the Smallest Detail!
Just like the previous two versions, this edition also includes a full set of equipment:
‧ Magnetic backpack accessories (back protector, anti-gravity device, crystal storage container, grenade pouch)
‧ Harness equipment (spare magazine case, pistol holster, water bottle, tool pouch)
‧ Weapon systems (Strand, machine gun, assault rifle)
‧ BB Pod (with two shell states), Dollman doll
‧ Weapon systems (Strand, machine gun, assault rifle)
‧ Details like the Electrobiote charm and BB Pod amulet on the backpack
Every single detail is uncompromised, maxing out both sincerity and accuracy!
Exclusive Metal Collector's Card Further Enhances the Limited Edition Value
Like the Deluxe Version, this edition also comes with a special "Death Stranding 2" metal collector's card, complete with a display box. However, with a worldwide limited edition of only 4,000 pieces, this collector's card is instantly elevated to an exclusive, numbered commemorative item, adding significant weight to its value!
From the Regular Version to the Deluxe Version, and now to this Artisan Edition Deluxe Version, Hot Toys has officially elevated "Death Stranding 2" collectibles to an artistic level. Whether it's the hyper-realistic look of the rooted hair head sculpt, the exclusive Golden Mask, or the overwhelming lineup of content, this figure is not just a "collectible"—it's the ultimate tribute to Sam's journey. If you are a player who truly understands the meaning of "connection," then this is a piece you absolutely cannot miss.
