Japanese toy brand MEDICOM TOY's popular action figure series "MAFEX" is launching a new Marvel Comics-themed product—the "No.283 Iceman (Comic Ver.)" action figure, with a suggested retail price of 14,080 JPY, slated for release in May 2026!
Iceman, whose real name is Robert "Bobby" Drake, first appeared in The X-Men #1, published in 1963. He possesses the ability to manipulate moisture to create ice and cold, and can cover his entire body with ice. Born in Garden City, Long Island, New York, Iceman was regarded as a threat by his neighbors after he accidentally displayed his power to freeze people during a gathering with friends. He later joined the School for Gifted Youngsters at the invitation of Professor X and Cyclops, becoming one of the founding members of the X-Men.
This Iceman Comic Ver. action figure stands approximately 15.5 cm tall, crafted in his classic comic book appearance with his entire body covered in ice. The sculpting faithfully recreates his robust muscular lines, and the use of translucent material presents a stunning ice crystal visual effect, as if it could instantly drop the surrounding temperature! Accessories include three interchangeable head sculpts, an ice crystal effect display base, and multiple ice crystal effect parts, allowing for dynamic poses from his comic book battles to be recreated with its flexible articulation!
