In addition to the release of the first installment of the "CAPSULE MACHINERY" (カプセルマシナリー) series, "SLEIPNIR," this July by IP4 Inc. (アイピーフォー株式会社)'s gashapon brand KOROKORO (コロコロ), the prototype for the second unit, "MORTIS" (tentative name), was also recently revealed! Let's take a closer look!
CAPSULE MACHINERY is a robot gashapon toy series that focuses on providing a free assembly and fully poseable play experience in a palm-sized (6 cm) form factor. It also boasts high variability through common standard joints, a wide array of armaments, and even the ability to mix and match parts from different colored units. Since SLEIPNIR's release in Japan, many Japanese toy enthusiasts have shared their mixed and matched combinations on X, and with KOROKORO's recently announced second unit, MORTIS, the possibilities for machine evolution are sure to expand endlessly.
According to the currently released official images and product description, MORTIS is a unit with a more robust and solid physique and a lower center of gravity compared to SLEIPNIR. With newly added dual wrist pivots and hip joint swing mechanisms, it can achieve more dynamic and expansive action poses. Furthermore, it will feature heavy armaments befitting MORTIS's machine characteristics! Of course, MORTIS's unit parts and new armaments can also be mixed and matched with SLEIPNIR! We're incredibly excited!
