Following their collaboration with Japanese sculptor Mio Hashimoto (はしもとみお / Mio Hashimoto) to release the ">first wave and ">second wave of Ultraman-themed monster sculptures, Bandai Namco Toys' GASHAPON division is now launching their latest product, the "Mio Hashimoto's Bremen Town Musicians Sculptures" (tentative translation, はしもとみおのブレーメンの音楽隊彫ってみた。) Gashapon, on GASHAPON ONLINE! Scheduled for release in late October 2025, each capsule will be priced at 1,000 JPY, with a total of three styles to collect.
Mio Hashimoto is a Japanese female sculptor known for her ability to capture the natural vitality of animals through handcrafted wood carvings. To convey the most authentic moments of animals, she not only references extensive animal photographs and data but also interacts directly with animals to further understand their personalities, striving for faithful reproduction in her sculptures. In addition to her sculptural works, Mio Hashimoto also creates illustrations and picture books.
This time, Mio Hashimoto not only draws inspiration from the beloved classic world fairy tale "The Bremen Town Musicians," creating the story's main animal characters—the donkey, dog, cat, and rooster—and depicting their iconic stacked pose, but also includes bonus "Dog Musicians" (犬の音楽隊) and "Beast Musicians" (猛獣の音楽隊).
Measuring 12-13 cm in height, these figures meticulously recreate the postures and expressions of various animals. With exquisite production techniques, the PVC and ABS materials are imbued with rich wood carving details. The color presentation and the handcrafted engravings, as if truly carved by hand, are absolutely stunning and a must-have! If you've collected the previous Ultraman monster sculptures, we believe you'll agree with us that these are an absolute must-buy!
